Angie Harmon expressed her enthusiasm about possibly reprising her role as Assistant District Attorney Abbie Carmichael in “Law & Order,” a character she portrayed over two decades ago.
In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Harmon, 49, revealed that she had been approached by the show’s creator, Dick Wolf, regarding a potential return during the production of season 21. Harmon fondly recalled her time on the show, describing Abbie as a “fun and wonderful” character and sharing her admiration for co-star Sam Waterston, who plays DA Jack McCoy.
Reflecting on her experience on the series, Harmon, who starred from 1998 to 2001, mentioned how much she enjoyed that period in her life and even joked about the possibility of her character becoming the next DA. As “Law & Order” continues to thrive with new seasons and spinoffs, fans may hold out hope for Harmon’s return to the beloved franchise.
