NCIS star Brian Dietzen has expressed excitement about the possibility of his character, Jimmy Palmer, making a cameo on the upcoming NCIS spinoff, Tony & Ziva, set to premiere in late 2024 on Paramount+. The series, announced in February 2024, focuses on fan-favorite characters Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) as they navigate life in Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked.
Dietzen, speaking at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, praised the new show’s atypical storytelling and indicated his willingness to participate if needed. Additionally, Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Special Agent Nick Torres, expressed interest in his character undertaking operations in Europe. This spinoff, along with another new series, NCIS: Origins, expands the NCIS franchise, with potential for character crossovers, although Origins is set in the 1980s and less likely to feature current cast members. Showrunner Steve D. Binder remains open to crossover ideas, enhancing the interconnectedness of the NCIS universe.
